The National Service Scheme (NSS) is one of the most vibrant societies of ARSD College. This society has taken many initiatives in the field of community activities, such as social work, health issues, environment issues, campaign against drug abuse and cultural activities. Today more than 150 students are registered as NSS volunteers and they actively participate in all activities organized by NSS Unit of the college.  Our volunteers carried out the “Walk for Life” in College—a cancer awareness programme in collaboration with CAN Support, an NGO. The students of NSS participated in Republic Day Camp, Sikkar, Dengue awareness training organized by the NSS Centre, Delhi. A campus cleanliness and dengue awareness was organized by the NSS  Unit, ARSD College and more than 60 volunteers participated in this drive. A blood donation camp in association with the Lions Club, New Delhi, was organized by NSS in March, 2016 and 51 people donated their blood. Many other programmes are in the pipeline, such as the donation of books and clothes for needy people, cleaning of the College campus at frequent intervals.
