Developing a Model Curriculum on Disability Studies for Higher Education in Indian Universities

The Equal Opportunity Cell of our college was invited in the National Congress on “Developing a Model Curriculum on Disability Studies for Higher Education in Indian Universities” held on 5th to 7th october 2018 at New Delhi organised by Society for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies. In the inauguration function our Principal was invited as speaker. Speaking on the occasion Dr. G.K.Jha highlighted the key features of disability studies at college level and suggested that certificate or Diploma course on disabilities must be offered at college level to sensitize the common students. Later, Dr. G.N.Karna (Honorary President and Convenor) applauded the role of our college in making the campus barrier free and gave assurance to take our college to be the model college in India as far as Disabilities Studies are concerned. At last, Chief Guest of the Programme Member of Parliament Shri Manoj Tiwari distributed Motorised Wheel Chair to following students of our college: Kamal Deep B.A. (H) Pol.Sc., Mohd. Azharuddin M.A. (Final) Pol. Sc., Chandan Kumar B.A. (H) Hindi. Dr. G. N. Karna also distributed Motorised Scooty to following students of our college: Rahul B.A. (H) Pol. Sc., Pramod B.A. (H) Pol.Sc., Virender Kumar B.A. (H) Hindi.
