CHOPTA CHANDRASHILA TREK

Chopta - Chandrashila trek is a journey to the height of about 4000 meters above sea level. Chandrashila has a spectacular view of the Himalayas, especially Nandadevi, Trishul, Kedar Peak, Bandarpunch, and Chaukhamba peaks. This was the first trek organised by the society, and was conducted in December, 2019. a total of 26 members were a part of this trek.

ROOPKUND AND ALI BEDNI BUGYAL

The meadows of Ali Bedni Bugyal are amongst the most beautiful alpine meadows of Uttarakhand. The Bedni Bugyal Trek confines one’s heart with the sprawling colours of nature bedded over the lush green meadows. The Ali Bugyal trek is considered one of the best in India for these commanding views.
This was the first meadow trek for Shikhar, and was conducted in April, 2020. Despite being organised amidst the pandemic because the safety standards were adhered to & protocols followed, no cases were reported.

BRAHMATAL TREK

Located around 12,000 feet up in the Himalayas, The Brahmatal Trek is famous amongst trekkers from all over the world. Shikhar began its new year with a goal to discover the beauty that lies at the frozen lake of Brahmatal. Organized on the eve of new year, 31st December 2021, this was Shikhar’s second winter trek, with a total of 26 members.

KEDARKANTHA TREK

Kedarkantha is considered to be the most popular winter trek in India, but what the most people are unaware of is the trek is equally thrilling and enchanting in the months of rain as well. To avoid high costs and clashes with tourists, Shikhar conducted the Kedarkantha Trek in the month of August, making it the first monsoon trek for the society. A total of 21 members were a part of this trek.
