Annual Sports Meet 2024

The College's Physical Education Department organised the Annual Sports Day on 11th March 2024 in the sports ground. The Chief Guest of the event was Ms. Prachi Telhan. She is an Arjun Awardee and a former Indian netball and basketball player. Mr Pawan Jaggi, Chairman, Governing Body of ARSD College, was the Guest of Honour. The ARSD College Principal, Prof. Gyantosh Kumar Jha, inspired the students with his remarks. He emphasised the importance of sports in grooming and personal growth. The path to success is not paved with certainty but with courage, determination, and unwavering belief in oneself. Dr K.K. Sharma, Director of the College's Physical Education department, spoke to the audience on the power of teamwork in the game.
Students playing varied sports took part in the event. More than 300 prizes were conferred to the champions of several athletic events all over the year, which included faculty, non-teaching staff, and students.
Before the Annual Sports Day, the college had organised inter-departmental competitions for men and women in various sports, such as chess, table tennis, badminton, volleyball, basketball, football, track and field, and cricket, with over 500 participants. The winners of these competitions were also awarded on the Annual Sports Day.
