Confluentia
The College organizes an annual alumni meet called Confluentia where illustrious alumni are honoured on the last Sunday of January month. It is also an occasion to bring together ex-students from all walks of life and praise their advancement. It gives a common platform to the alumni to look back and cherish through the window of memories. Soothing music, cultural activities and delicious food adds to the flavor of official Reunion. Over the years, several College students have distinguished themselves in various fields such as commerce, politics, entertainment, and others.
The College has a long-established tradition to stay in touch with its students and thus Alumni Meets have been organized every year for the last eleven years. It is an occasion where former students from all walks of life gather at their alma mater to share their success stories and remembrances with ARSD family in an amiable environment. Alumni are international ambassadors who take the knowledge of their institution to their hometowns and countries as well as into their professional and social networks. The Annual Alumni Meet ‘Confluentia’ this year was held on 2 February 2020. The Chief Guest on this occasion was Sangeet Natak Awardee Ms. Prerana Shrimali, a renowned Kathak exponent. The Meet was presided over by Guest of Honour, Prof. Sevi Murugavel, Treasurer, College Governing Body. Mr. Pawan Jaggi, former Chairman of College Governing Body was also present at the event. Folk artistes from Sahitya Kala Parishad presented a colourful cultural programme on this occasion. An important milestone was achieved by the Alumni Association by releasing the first edition of Alumni Directory in this Alumni Meet. The Directory will be beneficial in rekindling the bonding and alliances among the alumni.
The College has a tradition of honouring our distinguished alumni from various fields like public service, social work, bureaucracy, academics, media, defense and performing arts every year. The Alumni were honoured with a memento, shawl and certificate of appreciation. This year the following alumni were felicitated with the Distinguished Alumni Award.
