Infrastructure and Facilities
There are three well equipped chemistry labs and one chemical store in the department for undergraduate students. Two are wet labs with all the facilities and safety measures. One is instrumental dry lab on second floor. The purpose of keeping wet and dry labs apart is, Electrical appliances and instruments like spectrophotometer, pH meters, Colourimeters etc. may corrode due to fumes and exposure to chemicals. Our well-trained lab staff manage labs very well. To keep the chemistry lab staff updated, department keep on organizing workshops and hands on sessions for them. Experts and trainers from various educational institutes and industry are invited time to time to give them training for the same. Also, students are instructed by teachers to take all safety measures while working in the labs. Students strictly work in the presence of teachers and their entry in labs is not allowed the in absence of teachers to avoid any accidents.
