An educational trip was organized to Power Grid Corporation of India Limited, Bhiwadi, Rajasthan, India on 9th February 2018. POWERGRID operates throughout India. Its transmission network consists of roughly 141,920 circuit kilometers and 224 EHVAC and HVDC substations, which provide a total transformation capacity of 295,980 MVA. POWERGRID's interregional capacity is 63,650 MW. All students and teachers were addressed by Mr Rajesh Mishra about the transmission and distribution of electricity all over India. We saw electric poles of overhead transmission lines and went to the control room. There we acknowledged the future of India over the internet, automatic surveillance and control operations. Later, we also went to Power Grid Academy of Leadership (PAL), Manesar. There we visited the auditorium and saw a video about the establishment of PAL and the working environment. It was an amazing and memorable educational trip.


A one-day field trip to Yakult Danone factory, Sonepat, Haryana, India on 27 September 2019. Yakult manufacturs a pro-biotic drink that can reach the intestines alive to impart health benefit and it is ISO 9001:2015, OHSAS 18001:2007 and HACCP certified. The process of making Yakult is completely automated and there is no human contact at any point of time. There we were greeted by the public relations department's officers of yakult. Students learned about embedded systems and about control processes, how a single system controls all the functioning of machinery, i.e., a fully automated system. We also learned about the importance of Yakult drink for human’s lives.


 

Department of Electronic Science organised an Innovative talk, delivered by Mr. Atul Bhargava, Senior Staff Engineer, S T Microelectronics on 23rd Oct 2018. The talk was very informative and students were able to enhance their knowledge in terms of the latest trends in Electronics. Quiz competition was organised in which the students participated enthusiastically from different departments of the college. A treasure hunt was also organised in which students showed immense determination to find all the hidden clues. The event concluded with Prize distribution ceremony.
