Our Founding Fathers
Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (popularly known as ARSD College), a co-educational constituent college of the University of Delhi, was founded on August 3, 1959 by the Sanatan Dharma Sabha (Rawalpindi) based in Delhi. The great visionaries who were instrumental in putting the dream of foundation of a college into reality were the people dedicated to the development of higher education in newly independent India. These legends were Sh. Mela Ram Jaggi Ji, Sh. Ganga Ram Gujral Ji and Sh. Lala Devi Ditta Shah Talwar, Sh. Atma Ram Chadha Ji. Located initially in Anand Parbat, the College shifted to the present location in Dhaula Kuan in 1963.
