2003

  • Dramatics Society ‘Rangayan’ was founded in 2003-04 on the occasion of Founder’s Day .

2009

  • Inauguration of Golden Jubilee celebrations.
  • First annual Alumni Meet celebrated.

 2010

  • Addition of a separate Commerce Department block.
  • The College has a very active Placement Cell. The objective of the Placement Cell is to provide employment opportunities to students along with guidance, mentorship, and the necessary skills to increase students employability.

2011

  • In 2011, the International Year for Chemistry as declared by UNESCO, Chem-crown, Chemical Society of ARSD, became the first in the country to organize a conference entitled ‘Chemistry: Our life, Our future,’ in collaboration with UNESCO and International Union of Pure and Applied Chemistry.

2013

  • Angad Agnihotri, was awarded the Prof. A. B. Ghosh Prize at the 90th annual Convocation held on 19th March, 2013 for obtaining the highest percentage of marks in B.Com. course of University of Delhi

2014

  • The College is awarded Star College status (DBT, GOI). The University of Delhi sanctions a grant of Rs. 1.95 crore under its Star Innovation Project Scheme.

  • The dramatics society of the college ‘Rangayan’ is the first such society of the University to organize a three-day theatre festival titled “Rangshirsh Jaidev Natya Samaroh”.

  • Alumnus Rajkummar Rao is awarded the National Film Award for Best Actor for his lead role in the biopic Shahid.

  • ARSD College has established a local chapter of the Delhi University Skill Development Centre that has been set up in conjunction with the National Skill Development Corporation (NSDC).

  • College has established a Business Incubation Centre through a strategic MoU with Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME), with the twin objectives to promote entrepreneurial skills among the students and provide support to worthwhile business ideas. With the establishment of Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership (CIEL), ARSD became the first college of University of Delhi to have a Technology Business Incubator in its premises.

2015

  • Department of Environment, Government of NCT, has sanctioned a paper recycling machine to the college to make optimum use of waste paper under the Waste Management Mechanism. The College maintains a garbage dumping unit to convert the bio-degradable waste into fertilizer.

2016

  • College fast-tracks its Mega Infrastructural Expansion Plan. A new teaching block inaugurated.
  • NAAC accreditation, first cycle with 3.11 CGPA out of 4.00

2017

  • The college was ranked 5th in India and 3rd in the University of Delhi under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), MHRD, Govt of India.
  • The college was awarded the World Best Managed College by Welfare Oriented Weltanschauung (WOW) International Association of Educators for World Peace at the 38th World Management Congress.
  • The College was awarded the Girl Child Education and Empowerment Award 2017 and the Green Campus Award by Women Agency for Generating Employment (WAGE) on International Women’s
  • Karnik Raj Sharma from B.Com(Hons) 1st Year won gold medal in Trap (Jr. Men), gold medal in Trap (Sr. Men), gold medal in Double Trap both (Jr. And Sr. Men).

2018

  • The college was ranked 14th in India and 8th in the University of Delhi under the National Institutional Ranking Framework (NIRF), MHRD, Govt of India.
  • As per the recent India Today ranking of Arts , Science and Commerce colleges in India, the college was ranked 12th among 100 Science colleges of the country and 11th  among Commerce colleges in India, while 6th  best college for Commerce among University of Delhi and 15th  for Arts courses in  India and  bagged 8th  position among University of Delhi.
  • Avinash Banerjee from B.A (Hons) IIIrd Year  declared as University Topper.
  • Inauguration of a Physics and a Chemistry laboratory on the second floor of the building in 2018.
  • The College entered a new MoU with the Society for Disability and Rehabilitation Studies that will enable the provision of financial, academic and instrumental support to differently-abled students, not only in ARSD but also across South Campus colleges.

2019

  • The Job and Internship Fair was organized for the first time on 12 March 2019 which was a big initiative and boost for student placement.
  • New Academic initiatives were taken in the form of International Seminars, one week Faculty Development Programmes, Entrepreneurship Awareness Camp and Sanskrit Sambhashan Shivir in the session 2019.
  • The college was awarded Green Audit Award in year 2019 and declared as an Environmental Friendly Institution.
  • The college was ranked 14th in India and 8th in the University of Delhi in NIRF Rankings 2019.
  • In India Today ranking 2019, the college was ranked 10th in Commerce, 12th in Arts and 15th in Sciences.  The college was also ranked 5th in India in Academic Excellence in Sciences.
  • On the occasion of 97th Foundation Day of the University of Delhi, our college was awarded Best Website Award in the college category in 2019.
  • During 2019 some infrastructural developments took place like, parking area modernization, college canteen renovation and entrance gate construction.

2020

  • In India Today ranking 2020, the college was ranked 12th in Commerce, 14th in Arts and 16th in Sciences.  The college was also ranked 6th in Govt. Colleges with the lowest course fee in Commerce stream.
  • The college was ranked 13th in NIRF Rankings 2020 under the Ministry of Human Resource Development (MHRD), Government of India.
  • During 2020 new computers have been installed in computer labs.
  • More than 60 webinars have been organized during Covid 19 pandemic.
  • One week e-Faculty Development Programme (FDP) on “Research Methodology: Tools & Techniques “ from 5th-11th June, 2020 and three days  online workshop  on “ The Digital Turn in Education : A New Pattern in  Teaching Learning Practices” from 20th-22nd June, 2020  was organized during Covid-19 pandaemic.
  • Under the aegis of  Skill Development and Entrepreneurship cell of ARSD College 09 Add-on Courses were offered in different areas. 
  • ARSD College under the aegis of IQAC organized 02 webinars for “Delhi University Undergraduate  Admissions 2020 on 30th June and 14th July, 2020 via virtual platform  during Covid-19 pandemic.
  • During 2020 Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education, Department of Higher Education, Ministry of Education, Government of India, recognized  ARSD College as Swachhta Action Plan Institution for forming the  Swachhta Action Plan  Committee and framing the working groups post covid-19 for Sanitation & Hygiene, Waste Management, Water Management, Energy Management and Greenery along with observation of two environment related days to inculcate in faculty, students and community, the practices of Swachhta and reduction, reuse and recycling of resources.

2021

  • The college was ranked 12th in NIRF Rankings 2021 under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. 
  • In India Today ranking 2021, the college was ranked 11th in Commerce, 12th in Arts and 16th in Sciences.  

  • During 2021, The Mahatma Gandhi National Council of Rural Education (MGNCRE), Ministry of Education in Government of India recognized  ARSD College as Exemplary Performers in Swachhta Action Plan (SAP) Green Campus Initiative “One District One Green Champion”.

  • During the pandemic time the college organised over hundred webinars (National and International) for teaching, non-teaching and students of the college and from other institutions.

  • ARSD college has signed an MoU with NSUT to foster the research environment and provide more opportunities for students as well as faculty for enhancing their technical skills and research temper. This MoU aims to enhance the value of research and training at both places by undertaking collaborative research projects and enhancing the quality of human resource by imparting training.

  • MoU was signed between ARSD College  and National Productivity Council (NPC)  an autonomous organization under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India.

  • Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College has participated in MHRD’s Unnat Bharat Abhiyan. Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College is actively involved in implementation of the Unnat Bharat Abhiyan (UBA), a flagship programme of the MHRD on rural development through use of affordable technologies. Recently, A.R.S.D College has adopted 5 villages of South-West Delhi under this UBA Programme.

  • IIRS-ISRO Outreach Programme is run by Indian Institute of Remote Sensing, Dehradun, a constituent unit of Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), Department of Space, Govt. of India. IRS-ISRO Outreach programme focusses on strengthening the Academia and User Segments in Space Technology & Its Applications using Online Learning Platforms. This programme will cover the Basics of Remote Sensing, Geographical Information System and Global Navigation Satellite System. In this regard, ARSD college has been selected as network institute of IIRS outreach network on 28th June 2021. The College is responsible for conducting the online examination for all eligible participants and compiling and sending the result sheet of participants.

  • The Placement Cell, Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College organised INTERN-O-FEIRA 3.0, the third edition the Annual Job and Internship Fair during 12 -15 April 2021 in virtual mode. The College hosted more than 50 companies and received registrations from over 1000 candidates from all over the country seeking to benefit from the event. Around 30 companies offered paid internships to the students and some also offered placement opportunity. Over 200 students were selected during four days and got a chance to hone their skills.

  • Om Prakash Yadav, Assistant Professor received Commendable research award 2020 for his contribution in the research.

  • Dr. Syed Mubin Zehra Assistant Professor Department of History was part of the delegation who met USA Assistant Secretary of State Madam Marie Royce at New Delhi during her visit to India in January 2020.

  • Jyothsnaphanija Bolla, Assistant Professor, Department of English got Uttama Kavitha Puraskaram for her poetry.

  • Commendable Research Award to Dr. S.Shankar Subramanian in recognition of research during the year 2020 at 4thResearch Excellence Award organized by Delhi Technological University on February 15th, 2021.

  • Manika Jain is presented, BEST PAPER AWARD for the Paper Presented at the E-conference on “Organizational Renaissance in the Post COVID Era” organized by Delhi Institute of Advanced Studies, GGSIPU, on 10th April 2021. Paper title was & quot;An Investigation into the Relationship Between AI enabled Chatbot Interface and Online Buying Behaviour of Consumers in Delhi NCR Region” (Online presentation).

  • Aditya won the award, Best Author-FICTION at Cherry Book Award 2021.

  • Sunhit Bishnoi, B.A.(Hons.) Political Science, IIIrd year won Delhi NCR Cup 2021 Tournament organized by Delhi Golf Club.

  • Aditya won the award, Best Author-FICTION at Cherry Book Award 2021.

  • Manish Bhati, B.A.(Prog.) IInd Year selected for training of Archery in National Centre of Excellency, Guwahati.

  • Sunhit Bishnoi, B.A.(Hons.) Political Science, IIIrd year won 1st Position in Champions of North Tour Championship organized by Junior Golf Score Board in January 2021.

  • Sunhit Bishnoi, B.A.(Hons.) Political Science, IIIrd year participated in National Tournament and finished T4 in 105 participants organized at Chandigarh.

2022

  • The college was ranked 7th in NIRF Rankings 2022 under the Ministry of Education (MoE), Government of India. The Research Publication Score of the College was the highest among all Delhi University Colleges.

  • In India Today ranking 2022, the college was ranked all India 5th in placement category.

  • As part of Skill Hub initiative PMKVY 3.0, ARSD has undertaken to impart skills to school drop out candidates for the course in office assistant management.

  • The College has successfully conducted second AAA on 30th September and 1st October 2021.

  • An Audio-visual studio has been formed to facilitate ICT-enabled teaching-learning.

  • An online, multi-disciplinary, bilingual Refresher course titled “The Quintessential Educator- Challenges and Opportunities in the Changing World” was organised by the College in collaboration with Teaching Learning Centre, Ramanujan College under aegis of PMMMNMTT, MoE from 23rd August to 6th September 2021.

  • The College has submitted AQAR for the academic year 2020-21 on 28th March 2022.

  • The department of Physics organised an online international conference on “Recent Advances in Functional Materials (RAFM-2022)” from 14th to 16th March 2022.

  • The fourth edition of the Annual Job and Internship Fair, Intern-O-Feira 4.0, was held from 21-25 February 2022 by the College Placement Cell.

  • The College has taken one more step towards inclusivity by ARSD Equal Opportunity Cell entering into an MoU with Inclusive Divyangjan Entrepreneur Association (IDEA) on 29th April 2022

  • The College is working towards upgrading physical facilities, 10 solar lights have been installed in the campus contributing to the sustainable development goals. Alumni Association funded this.

  • New CCTV cameras were installed in administration office and an e-resource centre was developed in the library.

  • Dr. Manish Kumar has been listed in top 2% scientists world-wide by the Stanford University Ranking-2021.

  • Prof. Sunita Bhagat has been awarded a project titled “New Strategies for Regioselective C-H Functionalization of Aromatic and Heteroaromatic Precursors” by SERB. The sanctioned amount for the project is Rs 42 Lakhs for a duration of 3 years.

  • Capt. Prof. Sandeep, ANO NCC, ARSD received Director General, NCC Commendation award from DG NCC and promoted to Captain Rank.

  • A committee was constituted to assist the students for the preparation of the Civil Services and other competitive examinations.
