MOVIE SCREENING- DEAD POET’S SOCIETY on 31^st January, 2020

Tilt – The Film Appreciation Society of ARSD College, will be conducting a screening of Peter Weir’s Academy Award Winning, 1989 classic, Dead Poets Society. The movie stars actors Robin Williams and Ethan Hawke.

Screening is open to students across all colleges. College ID to be shown at the gate.

1. A WORKSHOP ON THE CINEMA OF THE 70s on 24^th February 2020

Tilt- the Film Appreciation society is coming up with an insightful and exciting workshop which will give the students an opportunity to meet venerable guests like

• Prof Ira Bhaskar, Professor, Cinema Studies, Department of Arts and Aesthetics, JNU
• Vebhuti Duggal, Assistant Professor, Film Studies, School of Culture the Creative Expression, Ambedkar University, Delhi
• Pravin Kumar, Assistant Professor, Satyawati College, D.U.

The workshop will provide an overview of the cinema of the 70s, the Parallel cinema, and the music and lyrics of the 70s and 80s.

2. TILT’S MAIDEN SHORT FILM- FUNERALS IN MY BRAIN

TILT- the Film Appreciation society of ARSD is venturing into the arena of film making by launching it’s first home production, a short film titled as Funerals in my brain. The talented members of Tilt have already started with the process and the film will be out soon.

3. TILT’s ANNUAL FILM FESTIVAL- TAMASHA on 4^th and 5^th March

TILT- The Film Appreciation Society of ARSD brings to you,

TAMASHA – The Annual Film Festival which is to be conducted on 4^th and 5^th March, 2020.

We are inviting respected Sohaila Kapur as our chief and guest.

Tamasha will play host to several exciting events and competitions like: –

• AFSANA – A Short Film Competition
• Film making workshop by Ashish Datta, the head of Carrot Films
• Marvel Cinematic Universe Quiz
• Screening of award-winning and critically acclaimed movies
