ARSD on Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta
On October 1, 2023, ARSD College enthusiastically participated in a cleanliness drive conducted to observe ‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta’ under the Swachhta hi Seva campaign. The drive took place at Delhi Cantt Railway station from 10 am to 1 pm. This event aimed to promote and practice cleanliness in our surroundings, in line with the larger goal of a cleaner and greener India. The drive was organized meticulously, and it witnessed active participation from students, faculty, and people. The volunteers diligently picked up litter, cleaned pathways, and disposed of waste responsibly. They also interacted with the passerby and aware them regarding the importance of cleanliness, waste segregation, and responsible waste disposal.All the team members gathered back at 01:00 p.m. and discussed briefly about the day’s experience and dispersed to their respective homes. It was a very satisfying experience to be a part of such a wonderful initiative.
Impact and Results:
- The event resulted in a noticeable improvement in the cleanliness and hygiene of the railway station.
- A substantial amount of waste, including plastic waste, was collected, and participants ensured proper disposal.
- The awareness campaign successfully educated many individuals about the importance of cleanliness and environmental responsibility.
The ‘Ek Tareekh Ek Ghanta’ cleanliness drive conducted as part of the Swachhta hi Seva campaign was a resounding success, thanks to the active participation and enthusiasm of our college community. The event not only enhanced the cleanliness of the railway station but also instilled a sense of responsibility towards our environment. We are committed to continuing such initiatives in the future, contributing to a cleaner and greener India.

Nimbus organized the first edition of Ehsaas- An Asian Parliamentary Debate Tournament
Nimbus, the English Debating Society of Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College, University of Delhi, organised the first edition of Ehsaas- an Asian Parliamentary Debate tournament from 18th – 20th March 2023. It witnessed enthusiastic participation from 200 debaters in 42 teams, representing nearly 30 institutions. Spanned over three days, the mega event witnessed an extraordinary display of astounding leadership, exercise of inspired judgement and passionate oratory.
The grand inaugural competiton was won by the team from DTU in the Open category, and Sri Venkateshwara College in the Novice category.
Thanks to unflinching support from Prof. Gyantosh Kumar Jha, the Principal of ARSD College, and the entire college administration, the event was a resounding success.

The English Department Association organized its annual literary festival
The English Department Association organized its annual literary festival with great pomp and show on the 20th and 21st of March. Participants and spectators attended the event in great numbers. Undergraduates and post-graduate students across Delhi colleges and Haryana colleges participated in various events, including- Litscape- The Paper presentation competition; Art bridge- the scene illustration competition; Mismatched- The alternate ending writing competition, held on day one.
The fest’s second day was much appreciated, including a movie screening, Hush and Unmute – open mic, which attracted great performances as a non-competitive event. Lastly, the day wrapped up with a book stall, attracting many students. The events received rave reviews with requests to have such book stalls and events in the future too. The two-day event ended on a very grand note. All involved had a fabulous time. -
ARSD College has been Ranked 7th in NIRF Ranking 2022 by MOE Govt. of India
Proud moment for ARSD family !!
ARSD College has bagged 7th rank in All India Ranking 2022 by National Institutional Ranking Framework(NIRF), Ministry of Education, Government of India. We were at 12th ,13th and 14th positions respectively in 2021,2020 and 2019. ARSD is improving its performance on various parameters such as research, graduation outcome and perception constantly.
Principal of the college, Prof. Gyantosh Kumar Jha said that the ranking is showing our hard work and determined continuous efforts to give students a world class institution where they can dream big and fly high. He congratulated the ARSD Family for achieving this milestone and appealed to the ARSD Community to work harder for higher achievements.

ARSD signed MOU with National Productivity Council, Ministry of Commerce and Industry GOI
Today, an MoU was signed between Atma Ram Sanatan Dharma College (University of Delhi) and National Productivity Council (NPC), an autonomous organization under the Department for Promotion of Industry and Internal Trade (DPIIT), Ministry of Commerce & Industry, Govt. of India.
ARSD college will act as the nodal college for:
1. Empanelling and involving other colleges for work related to customized trainings/Capacity Building Programs, and Promoting Entrepreneurial activities amongst students.
2. Development & conduct of Capacity Building Programs for Aspiring Entrepreneurs through specifically designed course curriculum.
3. Industry oriented short term certificate courses/PG diploma, specific to Industry 4.0 and Energy.
4. Identifying new areas of Entrepreneurial initiatives.
5. Preparation and exchange of Course Design and Exchange of faculty for the EDPs.
6. Promoting self-employment opportunities for Trainees from ARSD.
7. Any other activity that can be taken up to promote entrepreneurship development.
8. Conduct of Faculty Development Programs for the Faculties of different departments of ARSD, by NPC at NPC premises or University premises or online on mutually decided subject and cost in the relevant areas.
9. Internship programmes, Industry Exposure, Incubation Services.
