2003

Dramatics Society ‘Rangayan’ was founded in 2003-04 on the occasion of Founder’s Day.

2009
  • Inauguration of Golden Jubilee celebrations.
  • First annual Alumni Meet celebrated.
2010
  • Addition of a separate Commerce Department block.
  • The College has a very active Placement Cell providing employment opportunities, guidance, and mentorship.
2011

Chem-crown (Chemical Society of ARSD) organized the conference ‘Chemistry: Our life, Our future’ in collaboration with UNESCO and IUPAC during the International Year for Chemistry.

2013

Angad Agnihotri awarded the Prof. A. B. Ghosh Prize at the 90th annual Convocation for obtaining the highest percentage of marks in B.Com.

2014
  • Awarded Star College status (DBT, GOI). DU sanctions Rs. 1.95 crore under Star Innovation Project Scheme.
  • ‘Rangayan’ organized “Rangshirsh Jaidev Natya Samaroh”, a three-day theatre festival.
  • Alumnus Rajkummar Rao awarded the National Film Award for Best Actor for Shahid.
  • Established a local chapter of the Delhi University Skill Development Centre (NSDC).
  • Established Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurial Leadership (CIEL), becoming the first DU college with a Technology Business Incubator.
2015

Sanctioned a paper recycling machine by Dept. of Environment (NCT). College maintains a garbage dumping unit for bio-degradable waste conversion.

2016
  • Mega Infrastructural Expansion Plan fast-tracked; New teaching block inaugurated.
  • NAAC accreditation, first cycle with 3.11 CGPA out of 4.00.
2017
  • Ranked 5th in India and 3rd in DU under NIRF (MHRD).
  • Awarded "World Best Managed College" by WOW International Association.
  • Received "Girl Child Education and Empowerment Award 2017" and "Green Campus Award".
  • Karnik Raj Sharma (B.Com Hons) won multiple gold medals in Trap shooting events.
2018
  • Ranked 14th in India and 8th in DU under NIRF.
  • India Today Ranking: 12th in Science, 11th in Commerce among colleges in India.
  • Avinash Banerjee (B.A Hons) declared University Topper.
  • Inauguration of new Physics and Chemistry laboratories.

  • First Job and Internship Fair organized on 12 March 2019.
  • Awarded Green Audit Award and declared an Environmental Friendly Institution.

  • In India Today Rankings 2024 we were ranked All India 5th in B.A. Political Science, 7th in B.A. History, 8th in Commerce, 9th in Arts, and 15th in Science streams.
  • The college is awarded the District Environment Championship Award by National Edu Trust of India, registered under the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India (GoI).
  • The college received the District Eco-SDG Championship Award.
  • Certificate of Excellence awarded to college for completion of the Action Research Project under the Skill-to- Entrepreneurship Program for HEIs by National Edu Trust of India.
  • The grant of Star College Scheme to all the Science Departments of the College by Department of Biotechnology (DBT), Government of India.
  • Raising of First NCC (SW) Unit (NCC Senior Girls’ Wing).

  • Dr. Prashant Singh and Dr. Yogesh Kumar figuring in the list of top 2% Influential Scientists of the world published by Stanford University and Elsevier.
  • Dr Anjali Sharma Kaushik secured two patents in her name.
  • Himanshu Nandal from B.A. (Hons.) Political Science who won three gold medals with new national record during national para swimming championship.
2025
  • Ranked 7th in NIRF Rankings (Ministry of Education).
  • The college received the District Eco-SDG Championship Award.
  • In India Today Rankings 2025 college ranked First All India among most improved Colleges in Arts and Commerce Streams and 3rd Position in Science under the same category. In overall Rankings College attained 7th in Commerce, 8th in Arts, and 12th in Science.
  • The college was conferred the District Eco-SDG Champion 2025 Award (A+ Gold Grade), representing the highest level of recognition for sustainability and social responsibility among higher education institutions.
  • The College launched the Principal Internship Scheme catering to the need for internships under NEP 2020.
  • Department of Botany and Zoology organised Three-Day International Conference on Recent Advances in Medical Diagnostics (RAMD-2025)
  • 3rd International Conference on “Advanced Functional Materials and Devices for sustainable development (AFMD-2025)” Organized by Department of Physics and Internal Quality Assurance Cell (IQAC).
  • 4 students cleared the UPSC exam declared in 2024.
  • An MoU was signed with Karo Sambhav, for E-waste management for one year for catering the need of sustainable development.
  • Prof. (Capt) Sandeep has been honored with the Additional Director General (ADG) NCC Award 2025 for his outstanding dedication and exemplary contribution to the NCC.
  • Rajeev Singh of B.Sc.Computer Science(H)III Year secured many Gold, Silver and Bronze medals in Pistol Championship.
